New City Buffet Handrail Repair
This was a fairly straight forward repair. Customer wanted it repaired asap due to obvious safety concerns for their customers. I did spend a fair amount of time trying to blend the new upper end post with the lower section (it was bent from the impact). The customer didn’t want the lower handrail section removed, so the slight bend you may see was inevitable.
Early repair onsite at 4:30am. My Miller Trailblazer engine drive welder provided power and welding capabilities. The remaining existing bent rail section was cut out, and then I went to work starting with the layout. I then cut and mitered the new steel, tacked in place, and welded it out.
